4. He Could No Longer Cut A Promo

Hulk Hogan was once upon a time the best promo man in the business. But in 2014, he was a shadow of his former self. It almost looked like he was shaking with nerves when having to speak on the mic, although that could always be related to some of his physical problems. His promos nowadays lack clarity, sounding even more nonsensical than usual. He was also regularly fluffing his lines, infamously so at WrestleMania 30 when he called the superdome "the silverdome." Even in the media, interviews wouldn't make sense, he'd sound confused and delusional. That must have weighed on WWE's mind, as one of his main roles was to speak to the media and promote the company. If you've got a guy who can't talk and can't wrestle, what use is he?
