9 Factors In WWE Decision To Get Rid Of Hulk Hogan

3. Tough Enough Flopped

Hogan's most recent role on WWE Tough Enough was a flop. They'd invested heavily in promoting Hulk as a judge, even sending him out to big media outlets like Rolling Stone to give interviews. But when the TV ratings came in, it was a flop. The first episode did 1.2 million viewers. In contrast, the last season of Tough Enough in 2011 did an average of 2.4 million viewers. If Hogan had been a blow away success on this season of Tough Enough, pulling in big ratings, maybe WWE would have been a little bit more reluctant to get rid of him. As it turned out, he brought nothing to the table, leaving him as expendable when controversy hit.
