9 Factors In WWE Decision To Get Rid Of Hulk Hogan

2. No Role For Him

To have a job with any company, you must offer something. Hulk Hogan wasn't doing that in WWE. He was under contract for eighteen months, and once the initial pop for having him back wore off, there was really nothing he was offering. When he first returned it was nice. But when he came out at WrestleMania this year, it was like whatever. He was part of the NWO and he was just another guy. Fans actually wished he hadn't turned up, as it ruined the Sting Triple H match to some degree. That could go back to the politics point and Hogan insisting to McMahon that he wanted something to do at Mania. They tried him in the Tough Enough slot, but beyond that, what was he going to do? Disappear again and then come back to do the same pose angle at WrestleMania 32 for a ten second pop? It has been done and it is worth nothing. There quite simply wasn't a reason to keep Hulk Hogan under a WWE contract.
