9 Failed Wrestling Attempts By Non-Wrestlers

Sometimes the business just isn't for you.

Whether or not you choose to think of professional wrestling as a sport, entertainment, a mixture of the two (or something else entirely), one thing is certain: wrestlers are highly-trained experts at what they do, and the endeavour is not something to be taken lightly. Which is why, on many occasions, when non-wrestlers have dared set foot into the squared circle, the majority have failed. That's not to say that celebrity cameos or athletes from other sports don't have their place in pro wrestling, but rather that, for the most part, they should be kept out of active competition. And for good reason: not only is wrestling a dangerous business, but it is also a very difficult one to master, and all too often, amateurs look exactly that - completely amateur in the ring. That hasn't, however, stopped various promotions from trying to bring non-wrestlers into the action anyway. With the hopes of big media coverage and inflated ratings, the WWF/E, WCW, and others have continually tried to cash-in. And for every Ronda Rousey or Mr. T, there has been a Denis Rodman, or worse. Now, buckle your seat belts, down some Dramamine, and prepare for the nine worst non-wrestlers to give pro wrestling a go.
