9 Great Wrestlers Who Were TERRIBLE At One Specific Thing

Even the greatest performers to ever lace up their boots have one specific thing that they suck at.

No matter how great any of your favourite entertainers are, perfection is nothing more than a concept. Your favourite bands have bad songs, your favourite actors and directors have made bad movies, and your favourite wrestlers have holes in their game. Even the biggest legends to ever grace the squared circle have things that they suck at. It's a fact of life.

This list features nothing but in-ring legends (and Vince McMahon's son). They have provided a litany of classic matches over the years, so many that they appear to be damn near flawless, but all of these wrestlers have one specific thing that shows that they are human after all. It may not be enough to harm their legacies, but we are here for nitpicking at even the greatest of in-ring performers.

So, from People's Champs to Best Bout Machines and two separate workers to have called themselves The Best In The World (one with a far more credible claim to this than the other), these are some of the greatest wrestlers to ever grace a wrestling ring, who have one specific thing that they are terrible at.

9. The Rock

The Rock is all about personality in whatever he does, but this applies to his in-ring work more than anything else. Whatever 'The People's Champ' lacked in wrestling prowess, he more than made up for with his ability to pop a crowd. Not so great at technical wrestling? Who cares when your kip-up makes thousands of people lose their minds, and the Spit Punch works like a charm.

Even armed with the knowledge that The Rock is more dedicated to showmanship than technical endeavors, watching him do The Sharpshooter was a painful thing to behold. 'The Great One' knew how to apply all of the drama to slapping the move on an opponent, but it always looked aesthetically terrible. Loose and cumbersome, it was perhaps not a great idea to steal a move from one of the greatest in-ring technicians of all time.

It's a bizarre addition to his regularly used array of moves, because so much of what The Rock does is all about popping a crowd. The 'Spine On The Pine', 'The People's Elbow', and the 'Rock Bottom' are all basic moves, but are incredibly pleasing on the eye. Best to leave 'The Sharpshooter' to the professionals.
