Having established the direction in which his character is headed, obviously the next step is to find a challenger for Reigns’ newly-won title. Of course, we won’t need to look far, because as the former champion, Rusev is naturally afforded an automatic rematch for the belt that he lost at Clash of Champions.

Now, I guess Rusev technically received that rematch the very next night on Raw, but given that the showdown ended with an anticlimactic double count-out, I think it’s fair to say that there’s more to come in this rivalry between Reigns and Rusev.

Furthermore, the way in which that contest went down may provide us with something of a glimpse as to when and where this feud’s next chapter may take place.

With Reigns and Rusev taking their fight into the crowd, thus resulting in a double count-out, and with the next Raw-exclusive pay-per-view being Hell in a Cell in just under five weeks, I’m sure you can see where I’m going with this one.
