9 Next WWE Steps For Dean Ambrose

Back in August, when he made an appearance on the Stone Cold Podcast, Dean Ambrose was challenged by his host to raise the bar and step up his game.

Now, usually this wouldn’t have been something that needed addressing. The Stone Cold Podcast wasn’t necessarily canon, since it took place outside of the world of kayfabe and was largely separate from on-screen storylines.

However, no one told John Cena that, because last week on SmackDown he touched on Austin’s challenge, telling Ambrose that “Stone Cold was right when he called you out on his podcast”.

You could argue that Cena’s logic makes no sense. Suggesting Ambrose needs to step up his game is a little strange given that in storyline Ambrose had been WWE World Champion, had thrice fended off challenges from Seth Rollins and had only lost the belt on account of AJ Styles’ cheating.

Then again, that just means that Ambrose can easily argue his case, which I feel is another next step that he should get round to rather quickly. Plus, building on our previous point, he now has the win over Cena to further back up his word in rebuking the 15-time world champion, as well as Stone Cold Steve Austin himself, if needs be.
