Did either you or Shad Gaspard have any objection to playing the wildly over the top, yet stereotypical, Cryme Tyme characters when the gimmick was presented to you?

“The characters were never presented to us: we were doing the character when we were down in developmental. We brought the characters and ideas to them [WWE]. I would definitely say it was us who came up with the idea of being Cryme Tyme. The only thing WWE came up with was the name. We wanted to be known as The Gang-Starz. I wanted to use that name because it sounded so marketable. But the name was already taken. It was trademarked.”
