3. The Pacing Was Terrible

Usually the Rumble match is able to produce an enjoyable flow that makes an hour-plus contest feel like it passes by much quicker. Typically they do a good job of not letting the ring get bogged down with too many bodies all at once more than a time or two, giving the performers and the action a chance to breathe and the audience the opportunity to digest what's going on.

This year there was a disturbing lack of effective pacing; so much so that there were long stretches of the bout with no eliminations at all while everyone was lying around selling. Strowman's entry and initial killing spree followed by a gradual accumulation of competitors was one of the only moments where it felt like there was any thought given to the structure of the bout itself.

Stacking all the high profile competitors for the last several entries contributed to the feeling of the pacing being off. Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Strowman, The Undertaker and even Baron Corbin should have all been spaced out rather than cramming them on top of one another.
