9 Scary Reasons WWE History Says We'll Hate Roman Reigns By Next Year

8. We€™ve Seen This All Before (We€™ve Cena-Nough)

Pop quiz! What WWE Superstar past or present wins a lot, has no foreseeable weaknesses, and always ends Monday Night Raw victorious? John Cena? Randy Orton? Brock Lesnar? Undertaker? Triple H? The Rock? The answer is all of the above. Once a wrestler becomes the top babyface of the WWE, they receive the exact same gimmick as the guy before him, if €œwins a lot€ is actually considered a gimmick. Consider this: John Cena was once the most over wrestler in the WWE as a rapper. A decade later, his gimmick now is that he€™s an underdog; a gimmick that coincides entirely with his €œwins a lot€ gimmick. Literally, his gimmick is that he wins a lot and also that he may not win but totally will win, all at once. Yeah, the diehard, longtime fans of the WWE have no idea how to react to that. Unfortunately, even though Roman Reigns isn€™t undefeated, but if he is to be the next top babyface, the WWE is heading this direction with him and the results will be the exact same. Eventually people will get tired of Roman Reigns winning a lot, and will turn on him the same way they turned on John Cena for never losing. Again, it did not take the fans a year before booing John Cena.
