9 Things That Must Happen At NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia

4. Hello, War Machine

With Akam and Rezar gone from NXT, what better time to introduce a brand new hoss tag team? Hanson and Raymond Rowe have recently signed with WWE, and the former IWGP Tag Team Champions are likely to start on NXT soon. Why not bring them to TV already? The Authors will leave a big hole in the division, it is best to not let the space fester.

Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish should regain the titles in the championship match, only to be confronted by Hanson and Rowe immediately afterwards. War Machine should be introduced as a babyface team, so it is in everyone’s interest to keep the confrontation cordial. Rather than attacking The Undisputed Era, Hanson and Rowe should simply make Fish and O’Reilly aware that they are coming for them.

NXT’s tag team division is in a very strong position right now. With new teams establishing themselves and others coming back from long-term injuries, the landscape has never been so full. War Machine aren’t going to walk into a championship shot right away, but they most certainly must be positioned as a force to be reckoned with. A multi-team match at TakeOver: New Orleans seems inevitable.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
