Randy Orton defeating Luke Harper was never really in doubt at WWE Elimination Chamber, but the performance of the latter was always going to be the real thing being forced under the WWE Universe's microscope here. With each passing bout Luke Harper confirms what CHIKARA fans already know - that the former Intercontinental Champion is a top tier performer waiting to be let loose.

Many quick reports of the show are putting this match at the four-star range, something that seems a little high considering the majority of the match's belly was spent with Harper sat in a vintage Orton chinlock, but this may well be looked at as the coming out party of Luke Harper further down the line. The bushy brawler gave his first big babyface performance and came out defeated but legitimised.

It is unlikely that Harper will have anything other than a battle royal to look forward to at WrestleMania 33 but breaking out on his own means that he could yet be in for a landmark summer. Harper's performance in defeat last night will have turned heads and opened eyes.

As for Orton, The Viper continues his forward movement ahead of yet another championship match at WrestleMania.
