Wrestling gets some sort of sick enjoyment out of leaving some stories unfinished. What was in the lockbox Shane McMahon was talking about? Was the 'Anonymous Raw GM' actually Hornswoggle, or was somebody else pulling the strings? Why did anyone put a microphone in Michael McGillicutty's hands on that fateful episode of NXT?

On 22 June 2007, happy go lucky SmackDown authority figure Teddy Long proposed to his girlfriend Kristal. Initially, she ran away, but the Diva eventually agreed to marry Teddy. Just as well, because T-Lo was just about to make her go one on one with The Undertaker. Actually, that sounds rather ominous out of context!

In storyline, Long had a prospective date with a different undertaker. He suffered a kayfabe heart attack during the ceremony on the 21 September show, and everything was thrown into disarray. What would happen when Teddy got healthy? Nothing, it seems. WWE failed to follow up on any of this.

Kristal was released from her contract, and Long returned in November like nothing had happened. Creative gave this plot a lot of screentime over the summer months, then they dropped it just like that. That was poor, because the story definitely deserved some resolution.

Fans cherished Teddy, and there was a chance to turn Kristal into a huge part of programming permanently off the back of her onscreen marriage to such a popular character. Nope, not the plan. She was out, and Long acted like he hadn't been engaged or collapsed whilst exchanging vows to the love of his life.

Holla holla if you're sick of wrestling weddings.
