9 Ups & 1 Down For AEW Collision (Dec 16 - Results & Review)

Excellent C2 action, a brutal plunder war, and the long-awaited return of Thunder Rosa!

Another week, another AEW Collision in the books.

This time out, AEW rolled by Garland, Texas' Curtis Culwell Center for a Winter is Coming edition of Collision. What's particularly different about the Winter is Coming shows? Well, not really all that much, bar the one time that Sting made his stunning arrival in All Elite Wrestling.

Still, despite the Winter is Coming theme not being all that noticeable here, Collision put on a pretty darn good slice of pro wrestling television. Driven by the ongoing Continental Classic, Andrade El Idolo vs. Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Kingston vs. Daniel Garcia, and Bryan Danielson vs. Brody King all banged pretty hard, while one other standout match was the brutal plunder war that saw Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale take on Mercedes Martinez and Diamante.

Away from that, another obvious highlight of this week's Collision was Thunder Rosa getting physical for the first time in 16 months. Having been forced to vatate the AEW Women's Title prior to All Out 2022, Collision saw La Mera Mera come to the rescue of Abadon ahead of setting up Rosa's full return to the ring next week. And man, how just great it was to see Thunder Rosa out there cracking skulls once more, even if it was only briefly.

With all of that in mind, then, Saturday night's alright for fighting...
