9. The Upside To Next Week’s Tag

There was an upside to the Women's Title-focused promo segment.

Either Bayley or Naomi will bag a title shot vs. Nia Jax at Bad Blood if they win out in a tag match next week. If Nia or Tiffany Stratton win, then the babyface pinned "must leave SmackDown permanently". Being honest, the soft 'you're fired' gimmick is unnecessary, but everything else going on around the title does make the match interesting.

Kudos to Jax for fending off the dreaded "WHAT?!" chants too. People weren't up for listening to what she had to say at first, but the champ made them listen by confidently striding through the apathy and putting her point across. This Nia Jax is one million miles away from the one of old. Bayley is right there.

Bayley winning then even more 'Tiffy Time' involvement on the coming PLE would be the smart choice. If Naomi challenges, then forget it. That might sound harsh, but she isn't a realistic threat to someone like Jax in 2024. Bayley challenging and Stratton teasing a MITB cash in is the only way forward.
