9 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (27 May)
5. Everyone Wants Omega
Good stuff from Sami Callihan and Moose at the onset of this week’s IMPACT, with both men wanting to be the one to end Kenny Omega’s run as World Champion. Problem is, Moose is the number one contender. This was basic, sure, but it worked.
Moose was fairly calm throughout, while Callihan – who referred to himself by his old moniker of ‘The Death Machine’, rather than ‘The Draw’ – was wild. Sami was quick to state that Omega and co. knew they could prepare for Moose, they couple prepare for Rich Swann, but they couldn’t prepare for him. That’s why the Good Brothers prevented Sami from winning at Under Siege rather than Moose.
Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson would interrupt the duo, attempting to use religious talk to get on Moose’s side. He’s ‘The Wrestling God’. Lol? It worked because it’s Doc and Karl, of course, but Moose wasn’t buying it. He and Callihan, tension aside, cleared the Good Brothers from the ring.
This was needed after last week. Of course Moose and Callihan weren’t on the same page, so this had to be addressed. Something that is usually extremely basic worked simply because of who was involved.
