9 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Nov 3)

8. Brighter Horizons

When he lost the X Division Championship to Rohit Raju at Emergence, it wasn't entirely clear what awaited Chris Bey. 'The Ultimate Finesser' had only won the title the previous month, so the fact his reign had ended so soon was surprising, considering he had been built up as the biggest star in the division at that point.

Now, though, it appears we know why he lost the gold so soon.

If his interaction with Rich Swann before the main event was anything to go by, it appears as if Bey is now in pursuit of the World Championship. The former 'Finesse Division Champion' attempted to persuade Rich into simply handing him a title opportunity, presumably at next weekend's Turning Point special. Instead, Swann shot down Bey's request by essentially telling him he needs to prove his worth before earning a World Championship match.

We need to mention that perhaps this wasn't anything major, as we saw both Sami Callihan and Moose stake their claim as Swann's next challenger last week. It'll be 'The Draw' who challenges Swann next Saturday, but still, if Chris Bey can rack up more big wins, then he's a shoo-in for a future World Championship match.
