9 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SummerSlam 2024 (Results & Review)
6. LA Knight Sees Logan Paul’s Tricks Coming
Logan Paul's sporadic title matches had started to settle into a groove. His hangers-on poke their noses in to cause distractions, then Logan grabs brass knuckles from someone and belts opponents to steal the win. In a clever twist, LA Knight was well-prepared for LP's bullsh*t at SummerSlam.
He dodged Paul's shenanigans, then won his first title on WWE's main roster. Cleveland popped big for LA (ahem), and now Knight finally has something tangible to back up his star power. Also, having two male babyface champs on SmackDown for a while will be interesting. Knight will have to play second fiddle to Cody Rhodes, but that's fine.
If anyone can make it work, it's Knight.
It's worth saying that Paul is still a naturally-gifted athletic freak. His springboard moonsault to the outside was unreal, and he's clearly one of the best celebs to ever work some matches generally. In fact, Logan is beyond that now. He has earned his spot on this roster. Fingers crossed he doesn't disappear until 'Mania season.
