MJF winning the World Title works for multiple reasons.

Jon Moxley finally gets that long-awaited vacation he was supposed to enjoy after All Out, and one of AEW's best young lions gets the top belt. Friedman is the future of this company, no doubt, and he damn well knows it too. If you haven't seen it, check out his post-PPV media scrum rant for more proof.

MJF had to win here, and it's even better than he whiffed on doing things "the right way" in favour of being a world class d*ck who delights in messing with fan minds. Thought you were getting some kind of antihero babyface/tweener run? Nope!

The future of All Elite Wrestling is now. CM Punk will be viewed as a temporary experiment, one that didn't pan out, and history books will say that MJF picked up the pieces to become a full-time champ the promotion needed.

Strap in.
