9 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Sep 22)

7. The Rascalz We Need

The Rascalz have been redeemed after last week's weak performance saw Dez and Wentz laid out backstage by Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, and The North, leading to them being replaced in the main event by The Good Brothers. It felt like the treehouse residents were simply there to put over the heel team as opposed to having any sort of purpose.

Now, though, they interrupted a conversation between the former Bullet Club members and The Motor City Machine Guns, who Dez and Wentz were originally scheduled to team with seven nights ago, challenging Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson to a match. The tone was loud and clear - The Rascalz aren't being the comedy act they typically are. They're putting the laughs aside for a moment to be serious.

This is needed for them right now. Ever since the summer when Trey entered the World Championship scene, Dez and Wentz have felt a bit like an afterthought. That we're approaching the biggest pay-per-view of the year with the current PWG World Tag Team Champions now near the title picture is a terrific sign.
