These Impact Plus specials have, in the past, had a tendency to rarely overlap with the weekly content Impact Wrestling has been producing. It began to change with Victory Road, thankfully. However, because that was in the build towards Bound For Glory at the end of the month, it didn't feel that important.

Turning Point, on the other hand? The complete opposite.

It had a big fight feel coming into it, and coming out of it, we were left with two new champions, as Deonna Purrazzo and The Good Brothers claimed the Knockouts and World Tag Team Championships, respectively, in two wonderful contests. What makes those two title changes that extra bit more special is that they each took place in vastly different matches. Deonna's no disqualifications brawl with Su Yung was barbaric, while Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson's tag frenzy with The North was a masterclass in tag team wrestling.

Elsewhere on the stacked show, Rich Swann retained the World Championship over Sami Callihan in a decent main event, Joe Doering returned to the Impact Zone as Eric Young's new bodyguard, Cousin Jake answered the latest Defeat Rohit Challenge, and the official brackets were revealed for the Knockouts Tag Team Championships Tournament.

Before the tournament kicks off on Tuesday, however, let's get to it...
