9 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Turning Point 2020

2. It's That Easy

It took longer than anticipated, but The Good Brothers are your new Impact World Tag Team Champions. A moment that was bound to happen eventually, but remained great no matter how expected it may have been.

Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson lifted the titles from The North in a match that easily could have main evented any show. It's said more often than not that Impact's tag division is one of, if not the best doubles divisions in wrestling today, and it's because of matches like this. The way Gallows and Anderson react to both the seriousness of Josh Alexander and the comedic antics of Ethan Page is equally humorous to see as it is appealing to the wrestling purists.

When it came down to the end of the match, it all broke down. Page and Alexander almost got the win with a double Neutralizer, while The Good Brothers bounced back by running through the Canadian duo like it was nothing. A Gun Stun and Magic Killer put an end to The North's second run as World Tag Team Champions, as The Good Brothers relish in their continued success since arriving in the company.

This would have worked far better on a pay-per-view platform where they no doubt would have been more hype surrounding the title change However, that takes nothing away from Gallows and Anderson's victory. There was no way the former Bullet Club members were going to be coming into Impact and not lifting the World Tag Team Championships at least once. They now sit at the top of the perch, with an endless amount of phenomenal tandems in pursuit.

It's difficult to comprehend The Good Brothers failing so hard in WWE, considering what they've done in their short stint in Impact thus far. They're a perfect example of Impact knowing exactly what to do with a talent - or, in this case, a pair of talents - while WWE didn't.
