9 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Turning Point 2020

1. No Armbar Needed

Given the dreadful ending to their recent clash on Impact's weekly show, Deonna Purrazzo and Su Yung had to knock the ball out of the park at Turning Point. So, did they?

Absolutely, and then some.

Their No Disqualifications brawl over the Knockouts Championship was superb from start to finish, with all manner of weapons coming out to play. Towards the end of the contest, Deonna actually used a canvas to avoid Su's red mist attack. Innovation at its finest. It's important to note that Deonna's curator Kimber Lee wasn't at ringside here, having been mysteriously kidnapped this past Tuesday. Having 'The Crown Jewel' at ringside never usually takes anything away from the in-ring aspect of things, but it was certainly a nice change from the norm.

A Pedigree on the stage from Su Yung seemed to spike her challenger, while a double Fujiwara armbar with 'The Undead Bride's' head trapped in a steel chair seemingly knocked her unconscious before she arose. With the double armbar failing to get her the win, Purrazzo instead added a new weapon to her arsenal - a Gotch-style Piledriver, named the Cosa Nostra.

The move that began her second reign as the Knockouts Champion.

Everything in this match meant something. Not having Kimber Lee there made Deonna Purrazzo switch to something new in her repertoire, and it led her back to the title. It's unknown what the plans were had Kylie Rae not been replaced by Yung at Bound For Glory. However, what actually happened at the event and since then has been more than enough to compensate. This match, in particular.
