When Ricochet came out (with that stupid bullet sound effect) for a match with his Money in the Bank ladder match slot on the line, this writer groaned. Was he already being de-pushed?

It turns out the opposite was true. A couple weeks ago, Robert Roode handed Ricochet his first singles loss in WWE, so Roode felt he deserved his spot in the MITB match. That’s actually a fair point. So the two tangled with the spot on the line.

Ricochet managed to pull off the win with a picture-perfect 630 splash, earning his ladder match spot (which no one else has done), and he avenged his loss to Roode, so that isn’t hanging over his head.

That was a nice piece of continuity.
