9 Ups And 11 Downs From WrestleMania 32

7. Woo Woo Woo!

Critics are likely going to parse this one a ton. On the one hand, the Intercontinental Championship should be a centerpiece to the burgeoning feud between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, and one of them should have been holding the title when WrestleMania ended.

On the other hand, Zack Ryder has toiled away in WWE for the last decade with only fleeting moments of success. He was a fan favorite who built a huge internet following and got himself over when WWE didn€™t have anything planned for him. His last brush with greatness ended with Kane brutalizing him and John Cena stealing his girl €“ who then later kicked him in the groin at Mania.

So when Ryder knocked the Miz off the ladder and captured his first Intercontinental Championship Sunday night, all the thoughts about how KO or Sami were €œsupposed€ to have the IC title faded away. Whether it€™s only for a night, a week or a month, Ryder holding the Intercontinental Championship and winning it at WrestleMania is a great moment for him, and for the fans who hung with him.
