9 Ups And 11 Downs From WrestleMania 32

4. A Flair For Being A Heel Champ

We€™ve lamented the fact that Sasha Banks lost at what could (or should) have been her coronation as the real Boss of the WWE women€™s division. However, what can€™t be lost here is that Charlotte has really come into her own in recent months as a dominant heel champ.

Charlotte has been excellent on the mic, her work in the ring is outstanding, and she has a manager who won€™t hesitate to get physically involved to help protect her title. The fact that some people are pissed that Sasha didn€™t win €“ but aren€™t horribly upset at Charlotte because she€™s so good in the ring €“ is evidence that her heel run is working well.

So while it sucks that Sasha lost, consider that Charlotte continues a lengthy run as a dominant heel champion and now becomes even more hated because her father/manager Ric Flair cost Banks her best shot at winning. You get the feeling WWE wants to make Charlotte into the female version of her father in his heyday, and really, can you argue that?
