9 Ups And 11 Downs From WrestleMania 32

3. Goodbye Butterfly Belt

Oh thank God.

The rumors had been out there for a bit now that WWE was going to finally ditch the Divas Championship in favor of a new Women€™s Championship, but the company surprised many by making that bold move Sunday night. Hall of Famer Lita (an appropriate choice) spoke about the importance of past women€™s champions like Fabulous Moolah, Trish Stratus, Sensational Sherri and Alundra Blayze before unveiling the new title.

Regardless of what you might think of the new title design (which looks a lot like the men€™s championship with a white strap and red inset), getting rid of the godawful butterfly belt and abandoning the name €œDivas Championship€ in favor of Women€™s Championship is a smart move.

It€™s been six years since the original women€™s title was united with the Divas title and retired. Bringing it back at the biggest show of the year was another smart move. Kudos.
