The women€™s triple threat match got a boost in prominence during the pre-show when Lita announced that the Divas Championship was going on the trash heap and being replaced with a new Women€™s Championship. But the three women gave fans everything they could have wanted €“ and more.

Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks went 100 mph through the match, trading pinfalls, submissions and hard-hitting moves. Each of them had standout moments. Becky hit a variety of suplexes, Sasha flew around the ring with a frog splash and somersault dive, and Charlotte hit a moonsault from the top rope to the floor.

The audience nailed it with a familiar NXT chant, €œThis is wrestling!€ to really let everyone know just how awesome the match was. The women made believers out of any doubters as to how good the three are, and just how good women€™s wrestling could be.

Now, let€™s hope that this actually does usher in a new era of wrestling for WWE women
