NXT audiences, particularly at shows like Dallas that took place in front of some of the most diehard wrestling fans in the world, can be pretty vocal about who they support and who they dont. They typically have a great respect and appreciation for the ringwork and will applaud both competitors for a job well done. All of that is a huge upside to these crowds. But and many will disagree one of the things that grates is when the crowd seems to be more interested in entertaining themselves or making their collective presence known. This is often heard in some of the incessant chants, particularly during the Sami Zayn/Shinsuke Nakamura match and the Bayley/Asuka bout. Sorry, the Bayley sing-alongs might be cute the first time, but when theyre in the heat of the match and the crowd starts singing one for the third time, its annoying. And chanting about how awesome the Zayn/Nakamura match is a minute into the contest is just a bit much. Dont get it wrong: The crowd adds a hell of a lot to the NXT TakeOver shows, and its great to hear fans reacting to moves, counters, pinfalls and submissions. Its far better than silence. But there are those moments
