One of the biggest mistakes WWE makes at times is that they feel like every PPV match needs to be a lengthy bout following the same template. But they stepped out of that a bit Saturday night to open the show.

Riddle (in his hometown) and Randy Orton solved the mystery of Omos the simplest way possible and knocked off AJ Styles & Omos for the Raw Tag Team Championships. They managed to isolate Styles by keeping Omos mostly out of the match, with Riddle posting him near the climax.

The match itself was full, but not drawn-out, with Orton dodging the Phenomenal Forearm, AJ blocking the RKO, and then Orton nailing the RKO for the win and the titles. The contest was just long enough but didn’t overstay its welcome, and the celebration afterward was fun to watch.
