9 Worst Abuses Of Creative Control In Wrestling

4. Hulk Hogan At SummerSlam 2005

Neither Hulk Hogan nor his opponent, Shawn Michaels, exactly covered themselves in glory at SummerSlam 2005.

Hogan has generally taken the brunt of the criticism though - partly because he is the internet's favourite wrestling boogeyman, and partly because Shawn Michaels, by comically over-selling is every move after throwing a tantrum, at least made us laugh.

But even the most ardent Hulkamaniac would surely have to concede that their hero stepped out of line when he reneged on his agreement to work a multi-match feud, giving Michaels no opportunity for a riposte after losing clean at SummerSlam.

And, in the interest of balance, it must also be said that the 'Heartbreak Kid' - in a return to his sulky mid-90s form - responded in kind by stamping his feet in front of the whole world.
