9 Wrestlers That Need To Shine Bright At WWE Fastlane 2016

1. Dean Ambrose

Believe it or not, Dean Ambrose has been the recipient of some good booking as of late; he was the Intercontinental Champion, and had a great showing as the runner-up in the 2016 Royal Rumble Match. Most recently, he's displayed great character in his encounters with the most physically intimidating man on the roster, Brock Lesnar. The issue here is that people realise going into his #1 Contender's Match that Ambrose is mainly only there to get pinned. With all the bravery that he's has been showcasing, it's almost irrelevant when we know Roman will be the man facing Triple H at WrestleMania. We do not yet know what role 'The Lunatic Fringe' will be performing at WrestleMania, but in order to give Ambrose as much momentum heading into the final stretch towards AT&T Stadium as possible, he needs to be the MVP at Fastlane this Sunday. Look at it similarly to the phenomenal triple threat that took place at the 2015 Royal Rumble. Cena and Lesnar had wrestled before, with Lesnar dominating that exchange (not unlike Lesnar and Reigns this Sunday). The wildcard, however, was Seth Rollins. The inclusion, and eventual WrestleMania-worthy performance on behalf of 'The Architect' is what made the match arguably the best of the whole year. In order for this upcoming bout at Fastlane to provide any sustenance for Dean Ambrose, he needs to follow suit. He could be up against anybody in April at this point, from Owens to Jericho, but no matter who he laces up against for what could be his very first one-on-one 'Mania contest, he needs to go in with a heap of momentum, and it all starts at Fastlane.
