9 Wrestlers Who Had Backstage Heat With Roman Reigns
8. Tama Tonga
Tama Tonga might be in Roman Reigns' crosshairs by siding with Solo Sikoa in the New Bloodline, but his heat with "The Original Tribal Chief" dates back even before he signed with WWE.
During his time with New Japan Pro Wrestling, Tama Tonga went a little overboard in his attempts to troll the IWC on promos and social media. Some of his responses to comments were not very tasteful, which led to his Twitter/X account getting temporarily suspended.
Roman Reigns took a screenshot of the tweet and posted it on his account with a snarky remark. When Tama Tonga got his account unbanned, he replied to Reigns and claimed that he was the one who snitched by reporting his original post. It led to a back-and-forth exchange with the two taking shots at each other, and Tama Tonga even called out Reigns for a skill test and mocked him by emulating his moves during his matches in NJPW.
I actually doubled your lil videos views for you in like 4 hours. You should be thankful. Thanks for the laughs tho! ???? https://t.co/cfNXpUSSGd

However, fans had different interpretations of the exchange, as some claimed it was legitimate while others called it friendly banter. The two superstars had to wait six more years before they could settle their differences in the ring as Tama Tonga made his WWE debut on the post-WrestleMania XL episode of SmackDown and became the first addition to Solo Sikoa's New Bloodline.
