9 WWE Superstars Who Could Be So Much More Than They Currently Are

3. Sasha Banks

WWE spent most of last year making room for Asuka and her undefeated streak, cementing Charlotte Flair as the future of the Women's Division, and bringing in Ronda Rousey with the type of fanfare reserved for only the biggest of stars. While doing so, the company ignored one of their most gifted talents and a proven commodity who took a back seat when she should have been leading the way. "The Boss" was hardly a boss at all. She was a WWE competitor living her dream but doing so while frustrated with WWE's booking - particularly their creative process.

Banks hasn't been a serious contender in the championship scene for over a year. Instead, she's been wrapped up in an on-again, off-again feud with Bayley. Tying her to a storyline that hasn't gone anywhere keeps Banks' wheels turning but gaining no ground and the unclear direction for her character makes it nearly impossible for her to lean on the "Boss" personality that made her so popular in NXT.

WWE clearly sees something in her because they signed her to a long-term extension. But, if things remain status quo, her character can't grow and others will continue to pass her by.
