AEW All Out 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
5. Hikaru Shida Somehow Gets Picked
Thunder Rosa has shot down rumours she's this generation's Shawn Michaels by claiming her back injury is 100% legit. Regardless of everything going on behind the scenes with Rosa, AEW couldn't hesitate - they had to put on some sort of Women's Title bout this weekend, and that's why there's a four-way for the interim gold.
Toni Storm has to win it.
This entry could easily end there, but there's a nagging fear at the back of this fan's head. Now, don't get him wrong, he's a fan of Hikaru Shida, but...she'd be the least-enticing of the quartet to score a win, become interim champ and then hang around waiting for Rosa to return.
That's Toni's spot, especially because she was lined up to challenge for the belt proper in the first place pre-Thunder injury. It'd almost feel like AEW were going backwards by plonking a title on Shida again. The same probs goes for Britt Baker at this point.
