Vince McMahon told this announcer he had to "tone it down" on WWE shows.

AEW ring announcer Justin Roberts memorably produced trademark entrance barks for top WWE stars like John Cena and The Undertaker. That became something fans looked forward to when tuning into shows, but Vince McMahon hated Justin's style.

The then-WWE boss pulled Roberts aside one day and told him to stop it.

Roberts told 'Talk Is Jericho' that McMahon was particularly aggrieved when Justin's over-the-top style reminded him of UFC announcer Bruce Buffer - Vince apparently didn't like Buffer's intros, and didn't think his ring announcers should follow his example.

So, one day, he reminded Justin that he should quit embellishing announcements for 'Taker, John Cena and erm...Sabu. Yes, it's true. The ECW original was someone McMahon picked out when chewing Roberts out. Receiving the message loud and clear, the future AEW 'Dapper Yapper' had no choice but to fall in line and do as he was told.

He didn't agree with Vince though.

McMahon was also annoyed when Roberts brought back his OTT shouts for one of The Rock's comebacks. He wanted his announcers to maintain a steady style that was exactly the same for everyone on the roster.
