Right at the start of the main pay-per-view portion, Cody, The Young Bucks and friends fired their first shot at WWE dominance over the industry for almost two decades. After Nick Jackson said there were almost "20,000" in attendance, Rhodes said the venue only held around "13,000", then took aim.

"We just broke the MGM Grand Garden Arena attendance record", he said with a coy smile.

That had to be a dig at WWE's incessant need to break attendance records for every venue they visit, especially on the larger shows. Get used to this kind of trolling behaviour. It's popular with the kind of fans AEW will attract.
