8. Opening With A Hot Tag Was Smart

Christopher Daniels is one of the most ageless pro wrestlers in the world, and his performance in Double Or Nothing's opening (main card) six-man tag match was astounding. The same could be said of partners Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky, as well as opponents Cima, T-Hawk and El Lindaman.

One thing's for sure: had AEW booked anything else to open the pay-per-view portion of the show, it wouldn't have been as good as this.

Fans were receptive to some pre-match banter, lapped up the sight of seeing Daniels and Kazarian back on a major show and kept that energy up when the bell started ringing. By the time the bout's near 14-minute length had raced past, the crowd in Las Vegas were already vindicating AEW's card formatting.

Yes, opening with a hot tag-team match was clever planning. People wanted it, all six workers delivered and it was an enjoyable package from start to finish. Again, it literally couldn't have been a better start.
