AEW's recent executive-level shakeup has continued with the promotion of a new Vice President of Global Programming and Partnerships.

Shane Emerson, previously the company's Head of Global Programming and Partnerships, has moved into the role. The change first became apparent via his LinkedIn profile, though PWInsider's Mike Johnson has since confirmed it.

Recent months have brought several high-profile changes behind the scenes in AEW, with the Tony Khan-helmed promotion losing several executives, many of whom had been there since the group's 2019 formation.

December saw Vice President of Post Production Kevin Sullivan removed from his position, with Senior Vice President and co-Executive Producer Michael Mansury making the call. This broke just three weeks after news that AEW's long-serving Chief Legal Officer, Megha Parekh, had scaled her duties back.

VP of Show and Creative Coordination QT Marshall, VP of Live Events and Touring Rafael Morffi, and Marketing and Merchandising Officer Dana Massie (wife of Executive Vice President and Young Bucks man Matt Jackson) have also left AEW recently.

AEW founder and CEO Tony Khan addressed the departures in his pre-Worlds End media scrum last month, stating he had "big things to announce going forward." He added that it was challenging to lose so many company stalwarts, though he was excited for AEW's future.
