AEW's long-serving Chief Legal Officer, Megha Parekh, has taken a step back from her duties with the promotion.

Fightful Select has reported on Parekh's situation, stating that she hasn't been as heavily involved over the past few months. There is currently no word on if she has officially changed positions, or if there has been a formal adjustment, though Chris Peck has assumed many of Parekh's AEW duties.

Whether or not Parekh will return to those duties is unclear.

Parekh is understood to be focusing on a stadium deal for the Khan family's NFL franchise, the Jacksonville Jaguars, rather than AEW. This has been the belief within the wrestling promotion since October.

While Parekh was heavily involved in the Brawl Out situation of September 2022, having accompanied The Young Bucks to CM Punk's locker room in an attempt to keep the situation professional, Megha was not at this August's All In event. Additionally, AEW's Chief Legal Officer didn't have a spot on the disciplinary committee which ultimately led to Punk being fired by AEW with cause, having brawled with Jack Perry in London.

A Jacksonville Jaguars employee since March 2013, Parekh joined AEW in 2019.
