AEW have officially confirmed the signing of Jade Cargill via Twitter, a day removed from her appearance on Dynamite.

Cargill, 28, alighted on TNT to confront Cody Rhodes as the representative of basketball star Shaq O'Neal. The segment intimated that a possible mixed tag match pitting her and the Lakers legend opposite Rhodes and wife Brandi could be on the cards.

According to AEW's full press release, Cargill has inked a multi-year deal with the company. CEO Tony Khan said of the signing:

"We're committed to expanding the AEW women's division by signing great athletes. Jade is an amazing athlete, and she's an exciting addition to our women's roster."

Cargill added that she joined AEW because "here I have a voice", and that she is "ready to shake up the women's division."

Before training with QT Marshall at his Nightmare Factory, Cargill was a basketball player herself at Jacksonville State University. She previously held a tryout at WWE's Performance Center in April 2009.
