As the wrestling world continues to pay tributes to Hulk Hogan, last night's Collision saw AEW acknowledge the passing of Hulk and his impact on the pro wrestling world.

This tribute came via Tony Schiavone, who worked with Hogan in both WCW and WWE, with Schiavone praising the Hulkster for bringing wrestling into the mainstream in the '80s and for his role in WCW's dominance on TNT in the second half of the '90s. Tony also sent condolences to Hulk's family before wrapping up with an "RIP, brother".

AEW has since posted that clip on the company's X account:

This is the first public AEW comment on Hulk Hogan's passing, with Tony Khan previously stating in 2020 that both Hulk and his then-wife Linda were banned from any AEW events.

It's worth noting that last night's Collision was the first AEW broadcast since news of Hulk's death broke on Thursday afternoon, with AEW using that as an opportunity to pay their respects to the career of arguably the biggest star the business has ever seen.

In addition to the various tributes paid on social media from those within the business, WWE honoured Hulk Hogan on SmackDown this past Friday, which was followed on Saturday by New Japan Pro-Wrestling holding a short ceremony for Hogan - a former IWGP Heavyweight Champion - as G1 Climax 35 got underway.

Terry 'Hulk Hogan' Bollea passed away at the age of 71 on Thursday due to cardiac arrest following neck surgery, leaving behind a complicated legacy but also undoubtedly being one of the most influential, important figures that pro wrestling has ever seen.
