Less than an hour after tickets were put on general sale - as per WrestleTix - AEW's hotly-anticipated 20 August episode of AEW Rampage has already sold out.

Of course, that Rampage will take place at Chicago's United Center, with the common belief that this will be where CM Punk makes his AEW bow.

The news of AEW selling out the United Center comes as absolutely zero surprise, with Tony Khan's company selling a ridiculous 12,000+ tickets when the pre-sale purchase option went this past Friday.

It's not yet known what the expected attendance will be for the 20 August AEW Rampage, although the venue itself - the home of the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Blackhawks - has a full capacity of 23,500. The Rampage attendance figure will obviously be below that, although it should still be a hefty number given how every available ticket has already been snapped up.

Interestingly, the first ever event to take place at the United Center was SummerSlam 1994 - which a certain Straight-Edge Superstar was in attendance for.
