AEW Revolution 2024: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

4. Swerve Strickland Loses One-On-One

There's been a lot of talk about a dramatic cliffhanger potentially ruling Hangman Page out of Revolution's World Title bout due to injury. Jerry Lynn wasn't happy that wrestling news outlets reported Page as perfectly fine, or that AEW didn't get the chance to build up yet more drama on TV ahead of the pay-per-view.

It's always possible that All Elite goes with a plan that sees Page miss out and Swerve Strickland wrestle Samoa Joe one-on-one. Ideally, Swerve would go on to win the belt and send Hangman further into meltdown mode, but...what if he loses instead? That'd dampen Strickland's push somewhat.

He's ready for the top prizes. More than ready, actually.

Samoa Joe was never going to be a long-term fix at the head of the World Title division, so it'd suck if he started palming off those who very-much could be. Nah, this writer feels Swerve must become World Champ and make that belt his own.

It's hard to shake concerns right enough!
