3. A Post-Match Double Turn

Granted, characters like Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland sort of flit between babyface and heel weekly. They’re more “shades of grey” than anything else, but it’d be cool if AEW tried to turn Hangman 100% heel by having him freak out and attack Strickland post-match. That'd be an easy thing to do.

There'd be a lot of love in the building for Swerve if he tearfully clutched his new prize. People would forget all about heel/baby alignments for a split second, then be brought crashing back to earth by Hangman totally losing it upon seeing an arch rival bag the big one ahead of him.

Would this be on par with Steve Austin and Bret Hart at WrestleMania 13? No, of course not, but it could steer Strickland towards a memorable anti-hero babyface run and clearly establish Page as the villain of the piece. Many have been treating him like that anyway, so why not make it crystal clear?

One more mega-match between these warring rivals would be a neat way to jumpstart Swerve's title reign.
