As many fans predicted, Tony Khan's big announcement on this week's AEW Dynamite was indeed the introduction of AEW Women's Tag Team Titles.

The AEW President talked about how the company has some of the best wrestlers in the world, how he truly feels that AEW is where the best wrestle, and that he's been impressed with the women's division in 2025, to the point that he feels new titles should be introduced in that division. With that, Tony passed things over to Renee Paquette, who unveiled the new AEW Women's Tag Team Championships.

As for how and when the inaugural AEW Women's Tag Team Champions will be crowned, all Tony Khan said was that the new champs will be crowned "soon".

Khan has regularly talked about AEW Women's Tag Team Titles in recent months, with the belts themselves having been made a while ago, but the company opted to hold off on introducing them, largely due to injuries within the women's division. Now, though, with a stacked, largely healthy women's roster, the AEW Women's Tag Team Titles are being brought into the fold.

For AEW, these new titles join the AEW Championship, AEW Women's Championship, AEW TNT Championship, AEW TBS Championship, AEW Unified Championship, AEW Tag Team Championships, and AEW Trios Championships, not to mention sporadic AEW TV appearances from the ROH Championship, ROH Women's Championship, ROH TV Championship, ROH Women's TV Championship, ROH Pure Championship, ROH Tag Team Championships, and ROH Six-Man Championships.
