AEW's Britt Baker, Ricky Starks And More Appear On Impact Wrestling
Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone didn't come alone in their latest paid ad.
Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone's latest paid ad on Impact Wrestling saw the duo appear with reinforcements in the form of some AEW roster members.
Former Impact World Champion Brian Cage returned to Impact programming for the first time in over a year, alongside Team Taz partner Ricky Starks, Matt Hardy, Isiah Kassidy, Ryan Nemeth, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D, and Rebel. It made for one of the most intriguing paid ads yet.
In usual fashion, Khan took jabs at Impact Wrestling, while Schiavone ran down the card for tonight's loaded episode of AEW Dynamite. What was so good, though, is that the roster joined in with the jabs.
Baker insisted that Nyla Rose, her semifinal opponent tonight, is less significant than Impact Wrestling ever has been, with Cage making the same claim towards the Impact World Championship. According to 'The Machine', the title hasn't been relevant since he last held it.
As for Starks, he claimed that management at Impact Wrestling is worse than Brian Pillman, father of one of his and Cage's Dynamite opponents tonight, Brian Pillman Jr.
As is always the case with these paid ads, it was entirely tongue in cheek to further the story arc between Impact and AEW. Needless to say, the paid ad yet again brought more eyes to the Impact product.
