AEW's Kenny Omega Set For Title Vs. Title Match At Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2021
Kenny Omega faces Impact's Rich Swann or Moose at Rebellion on 24 April.
Kenny Omega will hit Impact Wrestling for a title vs. title match at the Rebellion 2021 pay-per-view on 24 April.
This was announced during last night's Impact show. The Best Bout Machine shall put his AEW World Championship on the line against either Rich Swann or Moose, depending on who prevails in their Impact World Title match at Sacrifice this weekend. The winner of Omega vs. Swann/Moose will walk away with both belts.
Rebellion 2021 will be the second consecutive Impact pay-per-view headlined by Omega, with The Cleaner teaming with The Good Brothers to face Swann, Moose, and Chris Sabin at Hard to Kill in January.
Omega has teased chasing the Impact World Title since first crossing over into the promotion last December. Tensions immediately flared between him and Swann that night, as while the duo didn't go face-to-face, Rich was big-timed by Omega and Impact executive Don Callis, who had security prevent him from entering the parking lot where their private bus was parked.
Swann was pinned by Omega at Hard to Kill, sowing further seeds for a future singles match. A loss to Moose this week could delay things further.
