The AEW World Champion was hoping to see Paddy the Baddy lose.

Having teased making an appearance at the event, AEW World Champion MJF was indeed in attendance for last night's UFC 282.

There, the Salt of the Earth noted how he was at the show to watch Paddy Pimblett "get knocked the f**k out". Unfortunately for Max, he didn't get his wish, for Paddy the Baddy picked up a hugely controversial decision win over Jared Gordon.

The 'beef' between MJF and Pimblett dates back to last month, with the pair exchanging shots on Twitter.

As part of said beef, Friedman labelled Paddy a "fat, moon-faced prick, Will from Stranger Things looking a**hole, dollar store Conor McGregor" and suggested how Max might well turn up at UFC 282. MJF also threw out the challenge for the fighter to "show his face" in London when AEW visits the city at some point in 2023.

It remains to be seen when and where MJF and Paddy Pimblett will next cross paths, but it certainly seems likely to expect the Scouser to have some sort of role to play when AEW hits the UK next year. Tony Khan has previously confirmed that the promotion will be putting on a London show in 2023, though the AEW President has stopped short of announcing a date and venue for that event.
