These two always had entertaining matches together, but their feud added a new layer of intrigue when Ziggler was put on the shelf with a legitimate concussion suffered when he was on the receiving end of the stiff kick to the head from Del Rio. Continuing their feud after Dolph was cleared to wrestle again was a must, and they picked up right where they had left off. This match is interesting, because people usually remember the end, where AJ Lee interfered and cost Ziggler the match, with the thinking that she was "protecting her man". The screwy ending has people forgetting about the match itself a lot, which is unfortunate, because it was another good one. The crowd was solidly behind Dolph, and because he seems to feed off of that a lot, he was extra motivated. Del Rio, of course, loves playing the heel, and it showed here. He kept trying to attack Dolph's head, which is great heel psychology, targeting an opponent's injured body part like that. ADR escaping with his World Title because of AJ's misguided interference only served to give him even more heat, with the story basically being that he needed Dolph to suffer a freak injury to get the title in the first place, and then he needed Dolph's girlfriend to, essentially, throw in the towel for him to keep it.
